Admin Perspective:

Signing off on a review indicates that you agree with the review. Signing off on a review is only initiated when all the review participants (employees, managers, and HRs (if HR review is required)) have submitted their reviews.

The Sign-off process can be enabled under Process Configuration in the cycle settings.

You can also set the sign-off initiation date under Cycle Timeline. Setting up a Sign-off date ensures that the sign-off initiates and the request appear on the dashboard only from that date. Leaving it blank will initiate the sign-off request as soon as all the participants have submitted their part of the review. However, for an employee, the sign-off request initiates only when all the participants have submitted their part of the review and the Manager review is made visible to the employee.

As a manager or HR manager, you can track the Sign-off status on Team/Org Dashboard. (screenshot below of old UI)

Manager Prospective:

Once a review has been submitted by the Employee, Manager and HR, the manager can sign off on the review, thereby preventing any further changes to the review.

Employee Perspective:

Once the Manager review has been submitted and is made visible to the employee, the employee can sign off on the review, thereby preventing any further changes to the review.

Similar to Managers, Employees will also see the Sign-off pending notification on their performance dashboard and will be presented with the Sign-off Questionnaire (Process Feedback) before they get to click on the Sign-off button.
